Veteran healthcare executive C.E. “Mickey” Bilbrey has been named president and chief executive officer of Quorum Health Resources (QHR). An industry leader with more than three decades of experience in all aspects of hospital operations, management and consulting, Bilbrey previously served as president of QHR Intensive Resources and as vice president of QHR’s Eastern Division operations. He succeeds former president and CEO, James L. Horrar, who recently accepted a position with Community Health Systems.
A native of Tennessee and graduate of The University of Tennessee, Bilbrey has previously held the positions of president and CEO of The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, CEO of Empire Health Services in Spokane, Washington, and senior managing director at the national consulting firm, Phase 2. He is recognized as prominent national speaker and faculty member for the QHR Learning Institute.
