Darrin demonstrates the song in this finger style guitar lesson as follows; 5th fret of the 4th string with first finger, 3rd and 2nd strings open, 5th fret of the first string with 2nd finger and 7th fret with 4th finger. Darrin explains that the 4th string is played with the thumb, 3rd string with first finger, 2nd string with 2nd finger and first string with 3rd finger and that the picking sequence is as follows; strings 4, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 and then lift off your 4th finger on right hand and repeat the picking sequence and then repeat the entire sequence again. Next 2nd fret of the 4th string with first finger, 3rd and 2nd strings open and 2nd fret of the first string with 2nd finger and repeat the same picking sequence. Darrin Goodman, a native of Ogden, Utah, began playing guitar at the age of 12 after hearing KISS at an earlier age. Darrin has been a local finalist for the King of the Blues contest and is the lead guitarist of international recording artist Sonic Prophecy who has performed with artists such as Accept, Sabaton Cinderella and Ratt. Darrin has been teaching private lessons to 30 to 60 students a week from his home studio since 1987.
