Freescale Cup, Young Professional Activities to Highlight SAE International 2014 Convergence
WARRENDALE, Pa. (PRWEB) September 15, 2014 -- The Freescale Cup and new young professional activities are just some of the highlights for SAE 2014 Convergence, which will be held Oct. 21-22 at COBO Center in Detroit.
The Freescale Cup is an autonomous, intelligent race car competition in which teams are challenged to build, program, and race a model car around a track for speed. The fastest car to complete the track without derailing wins. The autonomous car requires:
- Embedded software programming and basic circuit creation using Freescale parts included in the entry kit.
- Students/employees to create motor control hardware and software to propel and steer their intelligent car
The SAE International Young Professional’s (YP) Strategic Leadership Council has created several programs and activities designed to inform, encourage and motivate the leaders of tomorrow. A highlight of these activities is the YP Speed Mentoring, in which young professionals are able to meet and talk with executives in an informal setting. The venue offers a comfortable atmosphere for meaningful communication.
SAE Convergence brings together technology leaders from across the Globe to address the impact of electronics systems and the issues critical to mobility electronics implementation. This year’s event features a compelling line-up focusing on the most relevant issues surrounding electronics technology. Chrysler Group LLC will serve as host company for the event.
