2nd.MD Founder and CEO Clinton Phillips was selected for the prestigious Houston Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” Award on September 12, 2014, after deliberations of over 700 nominations.

The Houston Business Journal, 40 Under 40, is a local tradition that highlights and recognizes young business professionals who excel in their industry. The 2014 winners are the 16th class of elite winners selected by a panel of judges and recognized at a formal event late in October.  Clinton Phillips, recently honored with the award, is currently the founder and CEO of 2nd.MD, a revolutionary 2nd opinion service that provides direct access to the world’s best doctors via video or phone within just 3 days.

Clinton has started multiple Healthcare businesses like Aspen Back & Body, a front-runner in non-surgical rehabilitation for spine problems. Clinton also served as the Vice President of the Laser Spine Institute, a national leader in minimally invasive surgery. Clinton, a former professional South African rugby player, received a masters degree from the University of Johannesburg and currently resides in Houston, Texas with his wife Jade and three children, including his youngest daughter Gabi who was the inspiration for 2nd.MD. Clinton also serves on the Board of Directors of Prepared Places and supports Smile Train and over 20 orphans through World Vision.
