Yehud, Israel (PRWEB) September 22, 2014 -- TaKaDu, a global leader in Integrated Water Network Management, announced today that Tony Kelly has now joined the company’s Advisory Board.
TaKaDu uses advanced statistical and mathematical algorithms to leverage utility data, translating it into actionable insights that save money and improve services and so transforming the way water networks operate.
Kelly, a civil engineer, has spent over 40 years in the water industry gaining extensive experience in major design and construction, and utility reforms including water authority mergers, corporatization, pricing, and contracting. For the past 11 years Tony was Managing Director of the water utility giant Yarra Valley Water, leading them to become a world-class utility.
Yarra Valley Water is the largest of Melbourne’s (Australia) three water corporations providing water supply and sanitation services to over 1.7 million people and over 50,000 businesses in the northern and eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
As an Advisory Board member, Kelly will help provide professional leadership and guidance to TaKaDu’s management for its product road map as well as market growth in Australia and globally.
Kelly was first introduced to TaKaDu in 2010, when he was the Managing Director of Yarra Valley Water, one of TaKaDu’s early customers in Australia which is known for its best practices in customer service, asset management and sustainability, and was named one of the top 50 most innovative Australian companies for 2013.
Since stepping down from Yarra Valley Water in July 2014, he has been consulting to the water industry including aid projects. Kelly was the inaugural Chair of WaterAid Australia, an international charity that aims to provide clean, safe drinking water and sanitation services to the world’s poorest people. He is currently Chair of the Savewater Alliance, an NGO promoting water conservation and other services to its members which are mainly urban water utilities.
“I have known of TaKaDu’s capabilities for a few years now, and from the start I have believed in the company’s unique solution and vision” said Kelly, “I was a TaKaDu customer and user, and have seen the company develop and grow in Australia and globally. I am excited to join the TaKaDu family as an advisor to its top executives, and be part of this revolution to the water sector,” he noted.
“Water utilities have huge amounts of data, but use only a fraction of this valuable information. Meanwhile they have many challenges related to water loss and efficiency. TaKaDu addresses the need for efficiency by maximising the use of data, and closing this gap in a very sophisticated and yet seamless way”.
Amir Peleg, TaKaDu’s Founder and CEO noted that “we are proud to have an excellent person like Tony join our team.
“He is a true industry expert and a real friend of our team. More importantly, I am pleased to see top notch executives in the water industry backing TaKaDu’s vision of moving from a reactive to proactive water network management by connecting different personnel, departments, systems, and types of data to improve efficiency”.
“I am certain that Tony’s contribution to TaKaDu will be unparalleled, and look forward to working closely with him to support TaKaDu’s development and growth by helping utilities save water, energy and time”.
