Milton Roy, the world’s largest manufacturer of controlled volume pumps, and a brand of Accudyne Industries, today announced that it is showcasing its new API 675 pump, Primeroyal X, September 15-18 at the Rio Oil & Gas Conference & Expo. Milton Roy is exhibiting with local partner Vibropac in Pavilion 3, booth O41.    

“The search for energy off the coast of Brazil, and around the world, is sending companies farther offshore and down to greater depths,” states Axel Bokiba, Global Product Line Manager for Milton Roy. “Newly discovered deposits sitting tens-of-thousands of feet below the seabed must be unlocked with different processes and equipment than those used onshore. Issues such as complex geology, higher temperatures and extreme pressures have further altered the design requirements for equipment used in these environments. As a result, we’ve developed a new and more powerful Primeroyal X pump to meets these requirements.”

Conforming to API 675 standards, Milton Roy’s new Primeroyal X provides 20,000 psig to withstand the extreme pressures associated with operating at deeper depths. Primeroyal X is designed to provide consistent chemical delivery with chemicals such as methanol, monoethylene glycol and corrosion inhibitors to improve flow and enhance product recovery. This highly accurate pump helps to prevent hydrate formation, wax deposits and corrosion.

Topside, the pump has been engineered to exacting standards with vertical or horizontal motor configurations to accommodate multiple operational requirements within a smaller deck footprint for enhanced safety.

Primeroyal X is the latest pump in the Primeroyal series. Altogether, Milton Roy pumps cover flow rates from 2.7 L/h to more than 16,000 L/h, and pressures up to 1,379 bar. Designed with multiple liquid ends, packed plungers, metallic or PTFE double diaphragms, the modularity of the entire line provides customized solutions for all pump applications.

“Our new liquid ends have extended the pump’s capabilities, and have increased maximum flow rate by more than 25-percent,” adds Bokiba. “As a result, Primeroyal X now offers the greatest combination of performance, efficiency and reliability for oil & gas operators.
