The CNPR certificate, since its inception of the Fall of 1999, has proven to help entry level applicants understand all of the pharmaceutical industry terms, product knowledge and regulations needed to work as a successful pharmaceutical sales rep. The CNPR program is widely known to help entry level applicants with their knowledge of the industry which then allows them to meet basic pharmaceutical sales job pre-requisites.

When we look to hire for pharmaceutical sales we always like to look at CNPR graduates first.

Building a workforce to transform pharmaceutical sales education into an area of awareness is important not only to pharmaceutical companies and it sales force but also to physicians and their patients. This requires identifying and deploying the best leadership and management talent for the nation's nearly 87,000 currently employed pharmaceutical sales reps and to the thousands looking to enter this growing industry. The NAPSRx through its highly recognized CNPR Pharmaceutical Sales Training program has been doing that transformation for the last 15 years. However, it is revising the program and is also looking to other education organizations-top people who can analyze complex data, build strong and effective systems to support learning and drive innovation.

On September 19, nearly 75 education leaders, executives and CEOs will come together for a leadership summit to focus on new topics for high-impact, pharmaceutical sales strategies to advance results for all CNPR students and increase the value of the CNPR educational program.

Several pharmaceutical industry education leaders will also speak at the event, including Karen Karikomi, co-founder and CEO of PharmaRepForce, and Brad Sullivan, Education Director for the CNPR Educational program.

The summit and celebration mark the 15th anniversary of the CNPR Program (Certified National Pharmaceutical Sales Representative) and the NAPSRx who sponsors and manages the industry leading training.
