Info-Tech Research Group Appoints New CEO
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) September 24, 2014 -- Info-Tech Research Group, a world leading IT Research and Advisory firm, today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Scott Bohannon as Chief Executive Officer.
Info-Tech Research Group remains the fastest growing IT research and advisory firm with over 20% growth this year, and more growth projected for FY 2015. Taking advantage of the rapid pace of development, the firm is focusing on adding industry-leading individuals to the executive team.
“During this next phase of our growth, there is no one better to lead Info-Tech than Scott,” said Joel McLean, Info-Tech Research Group’s Founder and Executive Chairman. “Scott has nearly two decades of experience in creating high-impact research for business executives, and he brings a wealth of management experience having run a large, global team. Just as importantly, his style of leadership and his approach to problem solving fit extremely well with our culture. Scott will ensure we deliver better research than anyone else in our industry, increase engagement with our members, accelerate our growth, and increase the capabilities of our managers and our people.”
Dave Burritt, Executive Vice President & CFO of US Steel said, “I’m thrilled to see Scott join Info-Tech. Better than anyone I know, Scott is able to assimilate diverse data in complex environments that mobilize teams to turn strategy into action. His collaborative style enables cooperation amongst diverse organizations and executives that look forward to finding ways to innovate together. I truly believe Scott will drive value for Info-Tech’s shareholders and members alike”
Prior to joining Info-Tech, Scott founded nsight2day, a management consulting and advisory firm, which developed innovative technologies and research to improve organizations’ ability to communicate more effectively with employees, customers, and other stakeholders. Previously, he served as General Manager and Executive Committee member of CEB, a global research and consulting firm. His primary responsibilities were to produce high-quality research and service delivery to thousands of C-level executives around the world. Scott holds MA, JD, and PhD degrees from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of two not-for-profit organizations, Wishes4MeNU and The Goyen Foundation.
“What most excites me about joining Info-Tech is the team’s relentless focus on delivering measurable value for our members,” Bohannon said. “Thousands of IT and HR organizations already use Info-Tech’s innovative diagnostics, blueprints, workshops, and consulting services to increase their agility and drive outsized business results. I want to quickly reach the thousands of other organizations that haven’t enjoyed those benefits yet. I’m also looking forward to working closely with Joel, who will continue leading our R&D efforts, ensuring our members continue to see us as the most innovative firm in our industry. We have an exciting pipeline of new, high-impact services we will start releasing this fall.”
