Rudy Mathew Malayil, M.D., received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College, one of the top medical schools in India. He completed his internship in General Surgery at New York Presbyterian/Cornell Hospital in New York City, followed by residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York University Medical School. Dr. Malayil further completed a Pain Medicine Fellowship at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine at the Beth Israel Medical Center Campus in New York City.
Dr. Malayil provides comprehensive care to improve the daily functioning and quality of life of each and every one of his patients. His areas of clinical interest include: Treatment of conditions such as neck pain, back pain, sciatica, spinal stenosis, compression fractures, joint pain, osteoarthritis, failed back surgery syndrome, post-laminectomy syndrome, complex regional pain syndrome and various sports or work-related injuries.
Dr. Malayil is trained in interventional pain procedures which help patients with their acute and chronic pain conditions. He has papers which were presented at the Northern American Neuromodulation Society annual meeting, New York State Interventional Pain Physicians annual conference and the American Academy of Pain Medicine annual conference.
