Austin, TX (PRWEB) September 17, 2014
The two early-staged Austin start-ups are doing their part for Feed America’s Hunger Action Month (September) to better serve the community and promote healthy food access for all. There are currently over 46 million Americans that struggle with food insufficiency.
Balancing food affordability & proper nutrition are a big part of what these two emerging start-ups specialize in for Austin’s working families.
Demand Food believes with one tap of a button, a freshly prepared meal should be delivered in minutes, for just $9.99. They make it incredibly easy for busy professionals, working moms, and college students to have access to fast & healthy meals.
Stretch Recipes is on a mission to help everyone eat better and save more. They build technologies and provide Chef taught cooking classes to empower people on tight budgets & fixed incomes to stop sacrificing personal health for immediate cost.
The Free tickets to Friday’s event are bookable on Eventbrite. The two start-ups ask that you bring a can or two to help benefit hungry families across the Austin area.
