David M. Owens Joins the Boston Office of Perkins Eastman as A Design Principal
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 17, 2014 -- The Boston, Massachusetts, office of top international design and architecture firm Perkins Eastman is pleased to announce that David M. Owens AIA has joined the firm as a Design Principal. Owens will bring insights from his 35 years of strong design experience across a range of building types—recently focused on sensitive contextual design within historic college campuses and the design of modern corporate offices—to Perkins Eastman’s healthcare, science and technology, education, commercial mixed-use, and corporate interiors practice areas.

Prior to joining Perkins Eastman, Owens was a Design Principal at Tsoi/Kobus & Associates, which he joined at its founding. David was responsible for many of TK&A’s award-winning projects, among them Stokes Hall at Boston College, Danforth University Center at Washington University, and Suffolk University Law School. Other notable clients included Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard University, Babson College, Boston Properties, and MIT Real Estate. Recognized for his design excellence, Owens’s work has been published in Contract, SCUP Journal, and American School & University, among others.
Owens received a bachelor of architecture degree from the Boston Architectural College and a bachelor of fine arts from Tufts University/Boston Museum School. He is a registered architect in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and he is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Boston Society of Architects, and the Boston Architectural College.
