AbiliTrax Exceeds Testing Requirements for Mercedes Sprinter Seating
Jamestown, NY (PRWEB) September 16, 2014 -- Fenton Mobility of Jamestown, New York, sister company of Access Elevator, is happy to announce the American-made AbiliTrax flooring platform recently exceeded the FMVSS & CMVSS 207/210 and 225 testing requirements.
The testing was performed and documented by a third-party-certified laboratory with test loads exceeding 21,000 lbs. AbiliTrax is a flooring platform that allows vehicles like the Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit and Dodge Promaster to have movable seating, wheelchair positions and accessories in a matter of seconds without having to perform any structural work to the respective vehicle.
An Abilitrax equipped vehicle can be used to transport passengers, wheelchair occupants, stretcher-gurneys, cargo, as a limousine service or any combination, and all within a few minutes. View the operation in this video: http://youtu.be/PRm4tcn-J24
Fenton Mobility is currently shipping the system in Sprinters, Ford E-350, General Motors Express and Savanna and will immediately begin booking orders for all sizes for the Dodge Promasters and Ford Transits when they are available from the manufacturer later this quarter. Fenton Mobility is also interviewing dealerships to partner with, utilizing Ship-Thru for the AbiliTrax platform within their respective product lines.
The Abilitrax platform will begin testing on the Promaster for seating and wheelchair accessibility early this July, followed by the Ford Transit seating and wheelchair accessibility.
