UVEF Names Ryan Westwood Chairman and Updates its Name
Orem, UT (PRWEB) September 17, 2014 -- Celebrating its 25th year serving entrepreneurs, the Utah Venture Entrepreneur Forum (formerly Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum) (UVEF) today announced the appointment of Ryan Westwood as UVEF Board Chairman and CEO. UVEF also named Clint Betts, Kent Madsen, and Kreg Peeler as new board members. The group also announces its new website and name change geared to represent the statewide reach UVEF has had in recent years.
Ryan Westwood is a serial entrepreneur and the founder of PcCareSupport, a thriving four year-old Utah Valley company which he recently exited. His newest venture, Outbox Systems is growing rapidly here in Utah Valley. He has been named among Utah’s 40 Under 40 among other honors. He succeeds Ken Kaufman, CFO for Contour, as UVEF Chair.

New board member additions to the UVEF board include Clint Betts of Beehive Startups, Kent Madsen of Epic Ventures Fund, and Kreg Peeler of SpinGo. Clint is founder and CEO at Beehive Startups, an independent organization committed to covering Utah’s startup and tech ecosystem. Kent Madsen is a venture capitalist and Managing Director at Epic Ventures Fund. Kreg serves as CEO for recent startup SpinGo. His past roles also include product developer, media producer, and founder of Spin Media Marketing.
Also serving on the UVEF board are: Shauna Theobald, Director, Entrepreneurship Institute at Utah Valley University; Steve Grizzell, InnoVentures Capital Partners; Cary Snowden, Square Compass; and John Pilmer, CEO at PilmerPR.
