Orlando, Florida (PRWEB) September 17, 2014
Mobility Freedom, one of Florida’s leading providers of wheelchair accessible vehicles and adaptive driving equipment and subsidiary of HASCO Medical, Inc. (OTCQB: HASC), recently celebrated two successes of its We Deliver Freedom program.
The program, designed to help financially disadvantaged families in need of a handicap-accessible van, harnesses the trend of crowdfuning and social media to raise awareness for each family’s situation and fund a down payment on a vehicle. By using http://www.GoFundMe.com, program participants are not only able to share their needs with family and friends but also have the opportunity to be discovered and helped by people around the world.
One of the recent We Deliver Freedom campaigns to come to fruition was for the Rentas family, of Orlando, FL, and their son Felix. A premature birth and multiple medical concerns left Felix in a wheelchair but as he grew, it became harder for his parents to transport him and his heavy equipment. The family’s wheelchair accessible van has allowed them to go out as a family, enjoy time together, and has opened up a new world for Felix.
Aura Alfaro , also of Orlando, FL, is another program participant who recently reached her financial goal. Complications from a past surgery left Aura paralyzed from the chest down and made it nearly impossible to transport herself and her adult daughter Aurita, who lives with Down Syndrome. In a few weeks Aura will take delivery of her new vehicle and begin a new phase in her life where transportation is no longer a concern.
On behalf of everyone at HASCO Medical we would like to congratulate these two families on their success and wish them safe travels in their new vans. HASCO Medical, Ride-Away, and Mobility Freedom look forward to using this innovative program to help many more families in the future.
