ViziHealth Networks Demonstrates Mobile Multimedia Patient Management Application “Powered by Kandy”
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 18, 2014 -- ViziHealth Networks today announced it is demonstrating one of its next generation patient care applications leveraging WebRTC and intuitive intelligence technologies with care model and business model innovation at GENBAND’s launch of its Kandy™ real time communications software development platform-as-a-service (PaaS) in San Francisco this evening.
ViziHealth Networks is a new company, whose mission is to deliver turn-key solutions that close gaps in care while driving new revenue models for health system clients by extending clinical and brand reach, increasing health literacy of their customers, and enabling commerce in the post-acute environment.
ViziHealth Networks offers a mobile application that runs on smartphones and tablets, which keeps patients connected with their primary care physician, specialist team, pharmacist and nursing teams to communicate in real time, while also monitoring behaviors and vital signs.
“We established ViziHealth Networks at the intersection of the innovations that new technologies like WebRTC enable, new requirements for healthcare providers to streamline and digitize care regimens, payors to create efficiencies driven by their own strategies as well as to comply with new government regulations,” said Jeffrey Singman, EVP, ViziHealth Networks. “With more and more access to sophisticated mobile devices, networks, and healthcare technology application integration, it is now possible to provide convenient and contextual communications that include visual content – whether that’s a live video chat or sharing of medical imaging and secure health records. With the ViziHealth navigator, patients and their care teams can simply and intuitively stay connected, reducing in-person visits, while improving patient satisfaction and ultimately outcomes.”
GENBAND, a real time communications software company, previewed their Kandy PaaS earlier this year, and this evening is showcasing applications, like those ViziHealth Networks have created, using the APIs, SDKs and software services on the platform, helping developers build experiences without having to invent and invest in the software and networks that make connectivity and creativity possible.
Of the four products ViziHealth will be offering, they will share ViziHome at the Kandy premiere and on the Kandy website showcase. Patients leaving the hospital are provisioned tablets in this scenario for member in-home utilization, and includes cloud-based surveillance & care, personalization and policy setting, and intelligent algorithms with branching logic that help automate care while at the same time providing a “human touch” through easy voice and video consultations.
The user experience will be shared, with live sessions being demonstrated showing patient, physician and pharmacist communication flows.
“We are excited to power real time communications solutions for innovative companies like ViziHealth,” said Paul Pluschkell, EVP and Chief Strategy Officer for GENBAND, and the visionary behind the Kandy platform. “Kandy makes it possible to quickly and cost-efficiently introduce next generation healthcare applications, while also knowing the platform and network is secure enough to support the important compliance and availability requirements necessary for success.”
