Gray Line Alaska Announces Products, New Driving Tour for 2015
Anchorage, Alaska (PRWEB) September 18, 2014 -- Gray Line Alaska launched its 2015 product lineup of statewide tours, packages and day trips, including a new self-drive package and a change to the Escorted Great Land Tour itinerary.
New for 2015 is the Yukon by Car self-drive tour. This seven-day, six-night package kicks off in Whitehorse, Canada, and explores the Yukon and parts of Southeast Alaska with stops in Skagway and Dawson City, towns steeped in Klondike Gold Rush history and culture. The Yukon by Car tour was added following the successful addition of three new self-drive packages in 2014: the Alaska National Parks Self-Drive, Alaska by Car Tour and the Grand Circle Self-Drive that travels from Anchorage to the edge of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, the largest national park in the U.S. Self-drive itineraries include everything from a six-hour glacier cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park, Riverboat Discovery ride and gold panning in Fairbanks to a Tundra Wilderness Tour through Denali National Park and more.
The 2015 Escorted Great Land Tour itinerary starts in Anchorage and ends in Fairbanks. This tour is perfect for guests who are looking for a dedicated tour guide to travel with their group. Itinerary stops include Seward, Talkeetna and Denali National Park, as well as exhilarating excursions such as a wildlife and glacier-viewing cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park and a visit to Iditarod musher Martin Buser’s Happy Trails Kennels. The tour also includes overnight accommodations at a number of Princess Alaska Lodges, all of which offer top-notch service and spectacular views.
This year, Gray Line Alaska will continue to offer travelers the same high level of service through its wide array of multi-day tour and package offerings, providing the ideal Alaska travel experience for each individual guest. A combination of rail and motor coach tours immerse guests in the beauty and backcountry wilderness of Alaska while offering unmatched comfort and worry-free travel. Tours are combined with a multitude of unique excursions along the way, as well as the option to travel independently or as a group.
Gray Line’s Denali rail tours provide a unique opportunity to explore Alaska aboard a luxury dome railcar as it journeys from Anchorage or Fairbanks to Talkeetna and Denali National Park. Options include roundtrip and one way. Gray Line’s popular Explorer Tours offer five packages for luxurious rail travel along the unforgettable Denali region with six- and seven-day itineraries containing numerous opportunities for wildlife viewing, glacier cruises, sightseeing and outdoor exploration. For guests who prefer the comfort of traveling as a group, Gray Line’s Escorted Tours are the perfect option, with three eight-day escorted packages. Both Alaska & Yukon Highlight tours offer longer vacation packages with nine- and 10-day options featuring Dawson City, Yukon. Both itineraries include stays in Anchorage, Denali, Fairbanks, Whitehorse, Skagway and Juneau. On these tours, in addition to travel on the Alaska Railroad and Gray Line’s deluxe motor coach, guests will experience a scenic mountainous trip on the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad into Skagway.
Finally, Gray Line’s sightseeing and day tours in Anchorage, Denali and Fairbanks are the perfect add-ons to any existing package or as short stand-alone trips. Guests may explore city tours, Alaska Native culture, a riverboat cruise, gold panning or a glacier cruise to Portage Glacier on the MV Ptarmigan.
“After a successful season in 2014 with many new product additions like the self-drive tours, flights and extended packages, we are excited to head into 2015 with even more options for our guests,” said HAP Alaska-Yukon Product Manager Mark Mumm. “We continue to draw on feedback from travelers and to explore opportunities for new tours and activities to compliment our extensive and varied line of products.”
All 2015 products are available now for booking. From now through Nov. 30, 2014, early-bird travelers can take advantage of a $600 discount per couple on any tour six days or longer.
