iDiscovery Solutions Rolls Out Enhanced Digital Forensics Lab
Washington, DC (PRWEB) September 17, 2014 -- iDiscovery Solutions, Inc. (iDS), will roll out their enhanced Digital Forensics Lab in their Washington, DC office this week. The advancements in the e-Discovery and expert services firm’s main lab will significantly increase bandwidth, performance, and capacity, while reducing completion time on many of its larger cases.
By instituting Solid State Drive technology throughout the entirety of the lab, project capacity will increase by over 30% and data analysis completion will drop by an even greater percentage. Adding a virtual silo to the existing linear silo will reduce the time for complete data analysis of larger data sources from weeks to days, or even hours. All of which adds up to time and cost savings for iDS' Digital Forensics clients.
“Simple changes, executed correctly, can have a tremendous effect,” said Bobby Williams, a Forensics Consultant at iDS. “By virtualizing portions of our environment, we have removed some of the limitations that occur when you have more dedicated consultants than you have physical workstations or space. This, combined with additional analysis software licenses, provides greater capacity for projects that require advanced tools or large data set analysis.”
Additional enhancements will improve the client experience from collection all the way through to testimony, if needed. Combining Cellebrite’s standard UFED with UFED 4PC Ultimate will increase bandwidth for collecting in the field, while enriched workflows will further expedite evidence handling and improve data analysis and reporting. UFED 4PC Ultimate, based on UFED’s original trusted technology, enables users to perform extraction, decoding, analysis, and reporting on a single platform.
“Our revamped forensics lab and additional UFED technology gives us a greater capacity to help our clients, whether a project involves imaging a few hard drives or hundreds of phones, tablets, and computers,” added James Whitehead, Forensics Manager at iDS. “Most e-Discovery vendors only have collection capability, but our lab and industry leading consultants allow iDS to deliver a wide range of forensic services. We have a unique ability to handle deep dive analysis of data and testify as subject matter experts. That combination is unrivaled in our industry.”
