Capitol Pain Institute Sponsoring an Anti-Defamation League Event & Awards Dinner
Austin, TX (PRWEB) September 17, 2014 -- Representatives with Capitol Pain Institute announced today that it is an official sponsor of Thursday’s Anti-Defamation League Event at the Four Seasons in Austin, Texas.
“We’re very excited about this and we consider it an honor to be a sponsor for this great event,” said Dr. Matthew Schocket, founder of Capitol Pain Institute.
Schocket went on to explain that the event, the Torch of Liberty Award Dinner, joins more than 600 community leaders and members at the Four Seasons to honor Torch of Liberty Honorees Susan and Bobby Epstein and the Audrey Raymond Maislini Humanitarian honoree, Marcia Levy.
“We will also celebrate ADL Austin’s many successes in its fight to end discrimination and ensure fair treatment and equality for all,” Schocket noted.
The keynote speaker is Sharon Robinson, Author and Educational Consultant for Major League Baseball.
The Central Texas Regional office of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in Austin began as a satellite office of the Southwest Region in 2003. In the agency’s Centennial year, 2013, and the Austin office’s 10th year of existence, it became its own region.
ADL’s Central Texas Region’s banner programs include No Place for Hate®, fighting hatred and encouraging diversity in schools K-12, and our Community of Respect® encouraging respect and inclusion in all other areas of the community.
The agency handles complaints of discrimination, racism and anti-Semitism, monitor extremists and domestic terrorists, and work with many in the community, including law enforcement, to fight hatred in all its forms.
