Boston Children's Museum Partners with From the Top to Offer Monthly Concert Series
Boston, MA (PRWEB) September 17, 2014 -- Boston Children’s Museum and From the Top have partnered to create a monthly concert series, introducing young Museum visitors to musicians from Boston-based arts organization From the Top, America’s premier national platform celebrating the stories, talents, and character of classically-trained young musicians. Many of the young musicians featured will also be showcased on NPR's From the Top.
“Boston Children’s Museum is fortunate to partner with the wonderful musicians of From the Top,” said Steve Schroth, Culture and Performing Arts Educator at Boston Children’s Museum. “Their expertise and passion demonstrate the power of making music and sharing it with others. Their arts leadership program not only brings beautiful music that we enjoy, but also opportunities for community engagement and enrichment through the arts.”
The musicians are talented, passionate high school students who will share love of art, instruments, and the joy of making music with Boston Children’s Museum’s visitors. Each performance will take place on a Friday between 6:00 - 6:45 and consist of two short programs. The monthly concert series begins Friday, September 19 at 6:00pm and 6:30pm. Additional dates include November, 14th, January, 16th, February, 20th, March, 20th and April, 17th.
"Collaborating with Boston Children's Museum is a great way to help our young arts leaders share their music and passions," said Linda Gerstle, Director of Education & Community Partnerships at From the Top. "We hope that the kids and families at the Museum have fun and that our musicians experience what it means to inspire a new audience."
