Clinic To Prepare Runners for Twin Bridges 8K Road Race in Morehead City

BreakThrough Physical Therapy (BTPT)’s highly trained physios will host a runners clinic on Friday, October 3, at the Morehead City Parks and Recreation Center in preparation for the Twin Bridges 8K Road Race on October 4, 2014. The clinic will be held from 5:00-6:00 PM during packet pick-up.

At the free clinic, BTPT physios will discuss proper shoe fit, common runner's injuries such as shin splints and IT band pain and offer answers to any questions. Additionally, members of the BTPT staff will be present at the finish line to answer post-race musculoskeletal or training questions and for screening and stretching as needed.

"We look forward to being a part of the Twin Bridges 8K Road Race,” said Matt Ware, PT, DPT, Morehead City clinic manager. “We understand how important staying healthy is to avid runners and recreational runners alike. We look forward to helping this year’s participants meet their goals while reducing their risk of injury.”

In addition to hosting the runner’s clinic, BTPT is sponsoring the Twin Bridges 8K Road Race.
