SideChef Participates in Food Tech Panel at Social Media Week LA 2014
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 18, 2014 -- SideChef, the step-by-step cooking app that rocketed into the Top 10 in the Food and Beverage category of the App Store the first week of its iPhone launch, will host the panel “Social Farm-to-Kitchen: How Tech is Changing the Way We Eat" at Social Media Week LA 2014 on September 25, from 4:30 to 6pm at General Assembly, 1520 2nd St, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
“The intersection of food and tech is changing so quickly that not only are new business models emerging to cater to the tech savvy crowd, but our daily food habits are altering. It’s interesting to look at what food means to us in the digital age,” says Milena Bogdanova, SideChef’s Director of Business Development.
As technology and food merge in the digital age, SideChef leads the way among cooking apps disrupting the food industry with innovative features including voice-guided narration, audio command technology, automatic timers and recipe search by ingredient, region and dietary restrictions.
This SMWLA panel will discuss the various ways in which companies and businesses are advancing the culinary trade. Panelists will cover topics such as what food tech companies are doing to influence healthier eating and more convenient ways to think about fast food, which social media platforms are encouraging better consumer behavior related to food, and the overall future of the convergence of food with tech.
SideChef’s director of business development Milena Bogdanova will be joined by SideChef blogger Amy Castle of What’s Amy Eating along with Good Egg’s marketing director Max Kanter, Caviar’s LA general manager Christine Kuecherer and Dinner Lab’s marketing director Kelly Valentine. SideChef is hosting this event with General Assembly as the venue sponsor.
