Continental National Bank Kicks Off Fundraising Partnership to Raise $40K for Amigos For Kids
Miami, FL (PRWEB) September 22, 2014 -- In recognition of 40 years of servicing the Miami community, Continental National Bank, the first Cuban-American national bank in the United States, announced today a joint fundraising partnership with Amigos For Kids to benefit local children in need. The first of its kind, this partnership joins two established, community-based organizations in a two-month fundraising effort to raise $40K for 40 years, commemorating the anniversary of the Bank. From now until November 22, Miami residents can make donations, with Continental National Bank matching in funds and in-kind contributions.
The Amigos For Kids fundraising partnership kicks off at Continental National Bank’s headquarters in Little Havana, and spans to participating branches throughout South Florida. Consumers can also donate online by following the donation banner on ContinentalBank.com.
“Continental National Bank owes its 40 years of stability and success to the very communities and customers we serve,” said Jacqueline Dascal Chariff, Chairman, Continental National Bank. “We celebrate our milestone while looking into the future, not just financially, but through the eyes of our local youth and leaders of tomorrow. Since 1991, Amigos For Kids has helped over 25,000 at-risk children. We join them, and ask our community to join us, in creating the resources to raise awareness about child abuse with programs and workshops that promote positive parenting and community involvement.”
“Amigos For Kids congratulates Continental National Bank for 40-years of stellar business and groundbreaking service,” said Rosa Maria Plasencia, Amigos For Kids President and CEO. “The true mark of a successful business is the lasting relationship they foster with their clients and their community. Amigos For Kids and the children and families that we serve thank Continental National Bank for their support. We look forward to working with Continental National Bank to expand our reach and advance our mission— preventing child abuse and neglect, and strengthening children and families in our community.”
