BlumShapiro today announced it will partner for the third consecutive year with Christian Community Action (CCA) to provide Thanksgiving day meals to more than 2,000 families and seniors in New Haven.

The BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign for Christian Community Action is a community wide, hands-on program that will collect non-perishable food items for distribution to families and seniors right before Thanksgiving Day. Financial contributions in support of the food collection campaign will also be accepted.

“The BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign for Christian Community Action has become an annual, impactful community program that assists many needy seniors and families in New Haven,” said John Zinno, BlumShapiro Office Managing Partner, Shelton Office. “BlumShapiro employees and our families look forward to partnering with other businesses, individuals, schools, churches and civic groups in this community wide effort to help other families have a festive, nutritious and fulfilling Thanksgiving day.”

“We are very grateful to BlumShapiro for again leading our Thanksgiving Food Basket initiative,” said Rev. Bonita Grubbs, Christian Community Action Executive Director. “We enjoy the hard work and commitment they and our other community supporters give to this vital program.”

The BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign for CCA will collect non-perishable food items and monetary contributions from October 1 to November 19.
