The Cherokee Nation and RBSC sign a “Memorandum of Agreement” That Brings Smart Connect to the Cherokee Nation
Tahlequah, Oklahoma (PRWEB) September 19, 2014 -- September 1, 2014 – RBSC Oklahoma LLC, a Tahlequah based Telecommunications firm, will introduce its state-of-the-art, fiber based, Smart Private Network (SPN) to the Cherokee Nation. The advanced technology implementation begins in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, which is the capital of the Cherokee Nation. RBSC will focus on connecting facilities within the Tahlequah area for the remainder of 2014. Beginning January 2015, health care and educational institutions within the fourteen counties of the Cherokee Nation will be among the first to receive high-speed, gigabit broadband services, including Smart Connect™. Once the project is complete, the Cherokee Nation will have one of the most technologically advanced, fiber-based, private networks in America. In addition, this upgrade will allow community service organizations to provide premier services to its citizens.

The technological upgrade of the Nation’s telecommunications network will be under the direct responsibility of Mr. Chuck Hoskin Sr., Chief of Staff of the Cherokee Nation. Mr. Hoskin and his Staff will be responsible for the approval, acquisition and administration of high speed broadband services to the Cherokee Nation.
