Try the Fields of Fire app on your smartphone, or create a mobile app of your own with AppMakr.

Fields of Fire is a shining example of how anyone can easily make an app themselves today without any technical knowledge.

AppMakr, a leading DIY mobile app builder, today announced that the Fields of Fire is the company’s “App Of The Week” for August 31st - Sept. 6th.

Each week, AppMakr features one app from the thousands published using our app building tool, called The Machine. This app was selected because it demonstrates the quality of content, design and relevancy that mobile apps can bring to groups trying to make a difference in their community.

With more than 1 Billion smartphones now active in the world, 84% of those users are spending at least 1 hr each day on their smartphones, the base on potential mobile fans for Fields of Fire is massive and growing quickly by the day. It was this potential that motivated AppMakr to create an easy drag-and-drop app builder platform that enables anyone to create an app like the Fields of Fire for free and without the knowledge of coding.

The Fields of Fire and thousands of small to large businesses, schools, blogs, sports teams and community groups have selected the AppMakr DIY app maker platform to create and launch their mobile app for Android, iPhone and over 5,000 different models of HTML5 compatible smartphones.

In a recent interview about building the Fields of Fire app, Daniel Manning, developer and owner of the app, told Infinite Monkeys the following about his experience entering the app economy:

Appmakr: What motivates you to go mobile?
Daniel: I wrote a great novel, but getting accepted by a conventional publisher is like winning the lottery, so I came up with a plan to self-publish and market my novel, Fields Of Fire, myself. Going mobile gives me the ability to better reach my novel's target audience... I think a mobile app should be a critical part of any independent author's marketing plan.

Appmakr: How did you find AppMakr?
Daniel: I found AppMakr the same way I find most things on the Internet: Google. A quick search provided me with the names of several websites I could have used, but I was more impressed by AppMakr's YouTube video than I was with the others.

Appmakr: What impact do you think it would have on your community with this mobile app you’ve built?
Daniel: The impact I'm hoping for is to get the word out about my novel, Fields Of Fire, so that I can become a successful author. That might sound a bit selfish, but I'd be lying if I said anything else….Another impact will be to promote the growing sport of paintball, which is at the heart of Fields of Fire, and there are several features in my app that will hopefully pique the user's interest in the sport.
