MPA App is a great example of how anyone like a small business owner can make an app themselves today.
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 21, 2014
Infinite Monkeys, has announced today that MPA App is the company’s “App Of The Week” for Sept. 7th - 13th.
Each week Infinite Monkeys selects one app from the thousands published with their free app maker platform. This app was chosen because it is a great example of the quality, beauty and usefulness that mobile apps can bring to a traditional business.
With more than 1 Billion smartphones now active in the world, and 84% of those users accessing the Internet via their smartphone everyday, the base of potential mobile users for the MPA App is massive and growing by the day. It was this potential that motivated Infinite Monkeys to create an easy drag-and-drop app builder platform that allows anyone to create an app without having to hire a mobile agency for thousands of dollars, or learn how to do coding.
MPA App and thousands of other small businesses, blogs, sports teams and community groups selected the Infinite Monkeys app maker platform to create and launch their mobile app for Android, iPhone and over 5,000 different models of HTML5 compatible smartphones.
In a recent interview about building the MPA app, Wendy Baxter, Head Teacher and developer of the app, told Infinite Monkeys the following about their experience entering the app economy:
IM: Why did you decide to go mobile?
Wendy: Most of our parents have access to mobile phones and this seemed like a great way of getting information to them. Its quicker, easier and more eco friendly than sending lots of notes out via pupils. In addition, the notes aren't likely to get lost on the way home.
IM: How did you find Infinite Monkeys?
Wendy: I was keen to have a mobile app for my academy but put off by the cost of getting a company to produce one for me. As someone who is fairly confident with ICT, I came across your site via a Google search and realised just how easy it was to make an app for the academy myself.
IM: What impact do you think it would have on your community with this mobile app you’ve built?
Wendy: The main thing for the academy is making sure that we are communicating well with our parents and local community. We need to reach out to them in the ways that they best like to communicate. I have found that I get a much better response from parents if I talk to them via social media than if I try and catch them outside the academy building. By using this app it also allows me to give access to information for parents that I couldn't otherwise do. For example, each week we plan to have a link to a YouTube video that will give them specific advice on different aspects of parenting.
