Preparation for 2015 compliance needs to start now
London, United Kingdom (PRWEB UK) 22 September 2014 -- Large companies need to start work now to ensure they can achieve ESOS compliance by December 2015 as required by UK legislation.
“It might look like there is plenty of time until the end of next year, but preparing for ESOS compliance can take some time depending on the compliance route chosen by each organisation,” says Ana Inacio, Energy Management Systems Specialist at SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.
“Apart from anything else, there will be a limited number of auditors available, so demand could easily outstrip supply towards the end of 2015.”
“There are several routes to compliance so companies need to look at the requirements, decide which route or combination of routes suits them best and then make a detailed plan of how they will implement that decision.”
SGS is running two ESOS seminars, designed for anyone involved in legal compliance or energy management, to help them gain an understanding of ESOS requirements and the benefits and inconvenients of each route to compliance.
The dates are:
• 22 October - Camberley
• 18 November - Birmingham
