Ozark, MO (PRWEB) September 24, 2014
HealthMEDX, the leading producer of software for long-term and post-acute care (LTPAC) providers, has announced Ponce Kenton as its new Vice President of Development. The 27-year IT industry veteran assumes leadership over a growing team of software engineers, designers and quality assurance professionals who are working to enhance the Vision product while driving continued innovation at HealthMEDX.
Kenton brings more than a decade of industry-specific knowledge to the position, having worked as Director of Development and Vice President of Engineering at McKesson in its Provider Technologies division. His time at McKesson was preceded by a series of technical and leadership positions at Per Se Technologies, an Atlanta-based healthcare IT company specializing in cloud-based practice management software that was acquired by McKesson in 2006.
“I am very excited to join HealthMEDX,” Kenton said. “They have a comprehensive suite of products in a strategically important market space, at a pivotal time for the industry. It’s a great opportunity to lead and expand a technical organization that’s focused on accelerating enhancements to current products while driving innovation to automate and connect the post-acute market.”
Kenton brings experience in leading large multi-site development operations, with a keen focus on the rapid development of quality products. An advocate of the AGILE methodologies, he has leveraged Lean IT practices to obtain advanced product certifications, and has a demonstrated history building and launching differentiated products in a crowded industry marketplace.
“Ponce will provide strong aggressive technical leadership while serving as an inspirational leader for our expanding development team,” said HealthMEDX CEO Pam Pure. “He is a proven executive with a track record for developing and delivering SaaS-based mobile solutions, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the team.”
