Skincare Company’s Independent Consultants Turn Yesterday’s Fashion into Brighter Tomorrows
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 23, 2014 -- ModaVive (http://www.modavive.com) announced Fashion It Forward (http://www.modavive.com/rodanandfields), a dress drive campaign created in support of the Rodan + Fields® Prescription for Change® (PFC) Foundation. Through Fashion It Forward, Rodan + Fields Consultants donate designer dresses and gently-worn gowns to be sold on the ModaVive website. Sixty percent of the net proceeds support the PFC Foundation and partner, buildOn. The funds will financially assist buildOn’s U.S. youth service programs to engage students in need in education and community service.
“We wanted to see what would happen when fashion and philanthropy converge with thousands of Rodan + Fields Consultants sharing a common cause,” said Lori Bush, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rodan + Fields. “We got our answer; thousands of Rodan + Fields Consultants came together to support students in need. We could not be more proud of the response from our Consultants around the concept of bringing together our ‘fashion-forward’ field and giving a beautiful twist to ‘paying it forward.”
During the Rodan + Fields 2014 Convention in September, a Gown Gallery and virtual boutique featured dresses from Rodan + Fields Co-founders Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields, CEO Lori Bush, and R+F Consultants. Tens of thousands of Consultants can participate in the online sale and online auction of gowns through September 30, 2014, to support the PFC Foundation and buildOn.
“Fashion It Forward is an important and exciting event in collaboration with Rodan + Fields,” said ModaVive Founder and CEO Layne Gray. “Fashion it Forward promotes our mission of refashioned giving. The dress drive offers volunteers an innovative way to raise money for charitable causes and also validates our model as a new way for corporations to approach giving.”
In addition to 60% of the net proceeds benefitting the PFC Foundation, ModaVive’s new Buyers Choose program enables ModaVive shoppers to donate 10% of the net proceeds from their purchase to select organizations from the list of registered 501c3 charities on the checkout page. Both buildOn and the Prescription for Change Foundation are listed among the charities.
