Calling all northern Virginia-area aspiring sound engineers and musicians! Studio V — a multifaceted recording and production facility — is now offering free Audio Engineering workshops for students. Each two-hour class will cover a different aspect of recording, from tracking great sounding drums, to mixing, mastering, and sequencing. The Studio V Audio Engineering workshops will be held at 4:30pm on the final Tuesday of every month through March, beginning on September 30.

“The team at Studio V believes in helping to cultivate a community of young musicians, engineers, and producers,” said Ben Green, Chief Engineer & Director of Operations at Studio V. “We are excited to offer these free Audio Engineering workshops, to provide a glimpse at, both, the musical and scientific aspects of recording great tracks.”

Studio V offers individual, group, and in-home recording courses that range from introductory to comprehensive, and can accommodate most studio-related needs, starting at just $35 an hour. Audio engineers interested in learning about the tools and methods to make great recordings should take heed: All students that successfully complete a comprehensive course are eligible for discounted studio rates, and may use the studio as freelance engineers.
