Deadline Quickly Approaching for 1-800-LAW-FIRM, PLLC’s $10,000 Law School Essay Contest

1-800-LAW-FIRM will award a $10,000 scholarship to the law student who can best communicate how he or she plans to improve the legal system in 1,000 words or more. The last day to enter the essay contest is October 5, 2014.

1-800-LAW-FIRM believes that our legal system is flawed. That is why founder and CEO Ari Kresch wants to help provide the means for change. This year, 1-800-LAW-FIRM will award a $10,000 scholarship to the law student who can best communicate how he or she plans to improve society through changing the legal system. The first annual Law School Essay Contest will award the $10,000 prize to the winning contestant in front of United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. in January 2015. Additional prizes of $500 each will be awarded to the authors of the next four chosen essays.

With technology growing at exponential rates and the unprecedented access to information that has defined the Millennial Generation, it is now more important than ever to ensure that change and growth are fostered within our legal system. The legal system can always be improved and those in the legal industry must work tirelessly to correct it.

This year’s topic "What would you do to improve the legal system" is open to all law students who are at least 18 years of age and are currently enrolled, or will be enrolling, at an accredited United States Law School in 2014-2015. Students also must be a US Citizen and have a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Students from the following law schools have participated thus far: Loyola University, Regent University, University of California (Berkeley, Irvine and Los Angeles), University of Denver, University of Missouri, University of Montana, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, Wake Forest University, Wayne State University, Western England University, Whittier College, Willamette University and the William Mitchell College of Law.

There are only a few days left to enter as essays will only be accepted until October 5, 2014. Essays can easily be submitted on 1-800-LAW-FIRM’s website which is hosted by High Level Marketing, a national company that manages the national law firm’s web site, SEO and email campaign management. Applicants must describe, in at least 1,000 words, the innovative, highly impactful, and practical way in which they could aid in re-engineering the way the legal system operates and/or making it more accessible to the public. Applicants’ essays must include their plan on how they would improve the legal industry during their career. 1-800-LAW-FIRM is creating the conversation for visionaries to share ideas and implement ways to better serve the legal needs of America.
