Datalogic, a world leader in automatic data capture and imaging technologies, is proud to announce the addition of the PowerScan™ PM9500-DK 2D imager to the successful PowerScan™ line. This new member features a display and a 16-key keyboard. Like every product in the PowerScan line, the PM9500 imager offers versatility of use through the combination of exceptional optical characteristics and snappy omnidirectional scanning.

The PM9500-DK model enhances interactions with the host system offering a cost effective alternative for scenarios that previously dictated the use of a more expensive mobile computers. The phone-like keyboard allows operators to manually enter data enabling easy management of simple code-quantity applications such as picking, inventory, receiving, and more. With the same ruggedized ergonomic form factor as all PowerScan family members, the PM9500-DK imager is a comfortable, ideal solution for use in industrial settings.

The PM9500-DK imager includes the latest generation of the Datalogic STAR2.0 Cordless System™ narrow band radio offering a longer range and more robust alternative to Bluetooth® wireless technology. The Datalogic STAR2.0 Cordless System technology provides high speed wireless mobility from 433MHz and 910 MHz radio communications. It offers scalable solutions from simple point-to-point applications, to networking capabilities combined with seamless roaming two way communication in complex installations.

The PowerScan PM9500-DK imager is equipped with the new outstanding High Performance Liquid Lens which allows the imager to adapt the focus at different distances. This all-in-one scanner is able to read Standard / High Density / Wide bar codes with great benefits for our Partners and End Users. The imager’s lithium-ion battery is easily replaced in just 3 seconds, eliminating down time during operations. Datalogic patented ‘Green Spot’ technology and the 3GL™ (3 green lights) feature for visual good-read feedback, are standard in this imager.

Operator comfort is assured through the well-balanced weight, ergonomic design, and intuitive aiming system generating a high first pass read rate. The soft-pulsed white illumination light is very gentle on the eyes offering comfort to operators in scan intensive settings.

The Datalogic PowerScan PM9500-DK imager is built to last with IP65 particulate and water sealing rating and drop specs of 2.0 m (6.6 ft.) guaranteeing reliable, long term operation. Usage in the toughest environmental conditions does not impact performance or reliability assuring a high return on investment. This reader has multiple interfaces making it suitable for a variety of applications including warehouse and logistics centers, manufacturing, and entertainment venues.
