Miami Women Who Rock Announces 2014 Award Recipients to be Honored for Outstanding Community Service at Inaugural "Fifty Shades of Pink" Luncheon October 23
Miami, Florida (PRWEB) September 24, 2014 -- On Thursday, October 23rd, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Miami Women Who Rock (MWWR), a network of women and businesses that believe in giving back to the community by supporting health-related causes and initiatives, will host the inaugural "Fifty Shades of Pink" Awards Luncheon at the Coral Gables Country Club to honor 10 exceptional and diverse women for their strength, resilience, heart, compassion and commitment to their families and the Miami community. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit The Women's Breast Health Initiative, Florida Affiliate, an outreach organization that connects at-risk women with the early detection necessary to fight breast cancer and heart disease, and which was founded by one of MWWR's 2014 notable honorees, Andrea Ivory.
MWWR, http://miamiwomenwhorock.org/, was established in 2007 by Emily Zubizarreta, a Miami business woman who built a thriving career in international business and leadership development. She created MWWR to serve as a platform to help other women succeed in business, as well as to honor women who were making a difference in the community. "We have evolved tremendously since our first awards event in 2008 and are thrilled to introduce several new categories this year ranging from the 'Miami Legacy' award to the 'Young Woman Award'," said Zubizarreta. "As breast cancer is the second leading cause of death in women, the 'Fifty Shades of Pink' Awards Luncheon is the embodiment of MWWR's global vision with local missions. Our signature events are where heels and hearts meet to benefit imperative women's health initiatives."
