Sausalito, CA (PRWEB) September 23, 2014 -- CeleBOOrate with games, rides, live entertainment, tricks and treats at the Goblin Jamboree Family Fundraiser on October 18 and 19 at the Bay Area Discovery Museum. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. families can experience the Museum as it’s transformed into a spooktacular Halloween wonderland complete with a Witches and Wizards school, pony rides, petting zoo and much more.
This year visitors can experience the Museum’s 2.5-acre outdoor, interactive exploration area, Lookout Cove, transformed into the spooky-but-not-scary Haunted Cove. Favorite exhibits like The Shipwreck and Peekaboo Palace will get a Halloween makeover, and kids will love Bay Hall’s new glowing train table. Live entertainment on Saturday will feature Jimbo Trout, Andy Z and Asheba. Sunday performers will include Miss Kitty, Alphabet Rockers and Snail People.
“Over the years Goblin Jamboree has become a wonderful community event for the Bay Area,” said Karyn Flynn, CEO of the Bay Area Discovery Museum. “Money raised from the ticket sales of this family fundraiser allows us to further our mission to ignite and advance creative thinking for all children.”
General admission tickets are $16 for non-members and $13 for members. Tickets purchased in advance give visitors access to the Fly-by Lane for quick access through the main entrances. Or get early admission by purchasing tickets to our Sponsor Breakfast and be the first to experience the NEW glowing trains in the Ghostly Train Station or go for a pony ride before the lines begin! Tickets are available at http://www.BayKidsMuseum.org/Goblin.
About Bay Area Discovery Museum
Creative thinking begins early in every child’s life. It enables original thought and the ability to see solutions where others don’t. It unlocks possibilities and fosters innovation. It provides the fundamental building blocks for success in school and beyond.
The Bay Area Discovery Museum is designed to ignite creative thinking in children. The 7.5 acres of natural beauty inspires families to engage in a world of possibilities. Framed by the majestic backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge, the museum is a space for imaginations to run wild. Every curated detail of our exhibits brings creative thinking to life for all stages of childhood. Navigate winding tunnels to develop physical and intellectual risk-taking skills. Feel the rush of cold-water tide pools that surprise and awaken curiosity. Imagine new worlds by transforming into a spider, a ship captain, or a bridge builder. At every turn is a new opportunity to challenge the boundaries of creativity.
Now we are taking these experiences beyond our physical location. We launched the Center for Childhood Creativity in 2011 to pioneer new research, thought-leadership, and teacher training programs that advance creative thinking in all children—extending our impact beyond the Museum.
Our mission: To ignite and advance creative thinking for all children.
