Taylor Payton of Minneapolis, Minnesota will Travel to Hollywood for his L. Ron Hubbard’s International Illustrators of the Future Contest Win
HOLLYWOOD, CA (PRWEB) September 22, 2014 -- Taylor Payton of Minneapolis, Minnesota will be honored at the 31st annual L. Ron Hubbard Achievement Awards celebration being held in April 2014 in Los Angeles and has received his prize money of $500.
The event will celebrate the annual winners in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers and Illustrators of the Future Contests, where Taylor was one of three 2nd quarter illustrator winners for this year. He will be published in the international bestselling Science Fiction anthology series – L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 32.
He will now compete with the remaining 11 winners for the grand prize of an additional $5,000. He will be assigned one of the 12 winning stories to illustrate for the anthology and will create original art for that story. All of the contest judges have a hand in voting for the grand prize.
Illustrator contest judges and mentors attending during the week include Dave Dorman (Star Wars art), Stephen Hickman (internationally commissioned artist) and Larry Elmore (Dungeons and Dragons), to name a few.
The Writers and Illustrators of the Future Contests were initiated by L. Ron Hubbard in 1983 shortly after returning to the field of science fiction with his bestseller Battlefield Earth.
