(PRWEB) September 23, 2014 -- A seventh chord consists of a triad of root, third and fifth plus the seventh. There are several variations possible of the 7th chord including dominant 7th, minor 7th and major 7th.
Claude starts off this easy beginner guitar lesson by briefly going over the theory as to what a dominant 7th chord is and says that you do not really need to fully understand the theory to the learn the chords in this easy guitar lesson.
The dominant 7th chords that Johnson demonstrates in the lesson are as follows; G7, 3rd fret of the 6th string with 3rd finger, 2nd fret of the 5th string with 2nd finger, 4th, 3rd and 2nd strings open and first fret of the first string with first finger. Next is A7; 5th string open, 2nd fret of the 4th string with 2nd finger, 3rd string open, 2nd fret of the 2nd string with 3rd finger and first string open.
Next is B7; 2nd fret of the 5th string with 2nd finger, first fret of the 4th string with first finger, 2nd fret of the 3rd string with 3rd finger and 2nd fret of the 2nd string with 4th finger. Next is C7; 3rd fret of the 5th string with 3rd finger, 2nd fret of the 4th string with 2nd finger, 3rd fret of the 3rd string with 4th finger, first fret of the 2nd string with first finger and first string open.
Next chord is D7; 4th string open, 2nd fret of the 3rd string with first finger, first fret of the 2nd string with first finger and 2nd fret of the first string with 3rd finger. And finally E7; 6th string open, 2nd fret of the 5th string with 2nd finger, 4th string open, first fret of 3rd string with first finger and first and 2nd strings open.
