Nurse Entrepreneurs - A Growing Trend Led by Inspiration Nurse Donna Cardillo

More nurses are becoming entrepreneurs and starting businesses. Donna Cardillo is leading the way speaking at several upcoming conferences including the NNBA Conference in October.

As healthcare evolves to meet the changing demographics and health needs of the population, so too does the role of the nurse. While once regarded as “assistants” to physicians, nurses are taking on a more active role in all areas of healthcare including as entrepreneurs and savvy business owners with vast knowledge and skill sets allowing them to offer a wide range of services. Many nurse entrepreneurs are self-employed as wellness coaches, care managers, wound care specialists, and legal nurse consultants. Cardillo, an award-winning business woman, respected keynote speaker, writer and author, columnist and health blogger, is an advocate for nurses as business owners and often speaks at nursing events on this topic. This is followed by a weekend-long retreat in Ocean Grove, NJ at a bed and breakfast for experienced nurse entrepreneurs in November.
