Jordan Lawrence’s new international retention standards provide the foundational rules needed by all companies conducting international business.

Jordan Lawrence is excited to announce the release of their 2015 International Records Retention Best Practices. These standards are designed to provide unprecedented guidance for companies of all sizes that operate in the United States and other countries.

These new retention rules and standards provide unprecedented defensibility when properly enforced as an integral part of an approved corporate records program.

To create these best-in-class standards, Jordan Lawrence leveraged multiple research sources including industry standards, outside legal research and actual client-implemented retention rules.

For US Retention Standards, Jordan Lawrence employed outside counsel to review and update all existing retention rules covering the 300+ most common record types.

For International Retention Standards, Jordan Lawrence leveraged deep record type knowledge and mapped international practices against them for naming and department-level consistency. Research was conducted by outside counsel, Jordan Lawrence’s current international clients and outside sources to develop standards that are widely adaptable to international companies. The standards are designed to be enforceable and defensible.
