Samuelson, Hause & Samuelson, LLP is proud to announce that Attorney Carolyn D. Kersch was recently named to the 2014 New York Metro Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers® Magazine. Attorney Kersch joins partners Elliot D. Samuelson, Richard L. Hause, and Wendy B. Samuelson among the small pool of attorneys in New York recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine. This prestigious honor is awarded to no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state.

Along with the selection, Attorney Kersch will be listed in the October 2014 edition of New York Metro Super Lawyers Magazine, its supplement in the October 5, 2014 edition of The New York Times, and a special section entitled, The Top Women Attorneys in New York, in the March 22, 2015 edition of The New York Times.

The Rising Stars selection process begins with peer nominations to a candidate pool for the list of Super Lawyers®. Nominees cannot be self-appointed and are only valid if nominated by at least one lawyer outside of their own firm. Lawyers are evaluated based on certain indicators of credentials, experience, and success. The top-rated attorneys in each practice area then conduct a peer review on the lawyers in their field. Finally, the highest rated attorneys in each of the four categories based on firm size are selected for Super Lawyers®. Highly rated attorneys in the candidate pool who are under the age of 40, or have been practicing law for less than 10 years, then go through the selection process to be chosen for the list of Rising Stars.

Carolyn D. Kersch was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2005, and has been practicing family law at Samuelson, Hause & Samuelson, LLP ever since. She graduated cum laude from Hofstra University in 2001 and earned her Juris Doctor at Hofstra University School of Law. In 2004, Attorney Kersch had two articles published in the school’s Family Court Review, for which she was the Managing Editor of Articles. She is well-respected by clients and peers alike for providing compassionate, personalized, and reasoned legal counsel in a variety of divorce and family law matters.

This selection is a reflection of Attorney Kersch’s accomplishments in her field, recognition from her peers, and potential for continued growth and excellence. Attorney Kersch embodies the mission of Samuelson, Hause & Samuelson, LLP, which is to achieve professional excellence and provide passionate advocacy for all clients. The firm is proud to have a team of highly respected lawyers who dedicate themselves to pursuing the best possible outcome for each client’s unique case.
