DRT Strategies, Inc. (DRT) (http://www.drtstrategies.com), a leading provider of technology and management consulting services and solutions to government and commercial clients, announced today that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) has awarded the company the Program and Project Management Services (PPMS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The contract value under the single-award BPA against which task orders will be issued is $100 million over five-years.
DRT will provide innovative solutions to support the USDA FSA in modernizing its information technology (IT) platform, software, and systems needed to enable successful program delivery, reduce costs, and gain efficiencies through common data services and self-service capabilities.
“The USDA FSA IT modernization effort is one of the most complex programs in the federal government,” commented Susan Kidd, CEO at DRT Strategies. “This sizable win validates DRT’s proven capabilities, exceptional people, and organic growth strategy. FSA is an organization that constantly moves forward. As such, DRT is well positioned to support FSA’s IT requirements, mission, and objectives. We have proudly served USDA since 2007 and look forward to extending our services to FSA and exceeding their expectations.”
The USDA FSA modernization effort seeks to bring together disparate organizations, resources, programs, applications, and a diverse workforce to better serve America’s farmers and ranchers. This effort will enable FSA to deliver new IT solutions more rapidly, and also generate cost savings, improve accountability, and gain efficiencies in IT services for farm programs, farm loans, commodity operations headquarters staff, field office staff, as well as for the farmers, producers and ranchers.
DRT’s proven framework for implementing and operating multiple complex PMOs utilizes a common approach to align all PMO functions to business and organizational goals, promote informed executive decision making, and achieve the level of cross-agency collaboration needed to move programs forward. DRT will deliver comprehensive IT program and project management services that facilitate support for FSA’s mission, its financial and administrative challenges, and the FSA IT System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
