Hart Energy’s DUG Eagle Ford Conference and Exhibition Continues Its Record of Success
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) September 24, 2014 -- More than 4,500 oil and gas professionals including 400 exhibitors attended the 2014 DUG Eagle Ford conference at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas September 15-17. The successful event offered networking opportunities and dozens of world-class industry presentations in two concurrent program tracks – upstream and midstream. The operators expressed a growing interest in engineered completions. That interest is expanding into targets above and below the Eagle Ford proper, including into the Upper Eagle Ford, Austin Chalk, Olmos, Georgetown and Escondido intervals.
Oil and gas experts who addressed the conference included Pioneer Natural Resources President and COO Timothy L. Dove and top management from, Marathon Oil, BHP Billiton, Phillips 66, Energy Transfer, Halcón Resources Corp., Swift Energy, and Penn Virginia. Additionally, other industry highlights were provided by executives from Raymond James & Assocs., U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and ITG Investment Research. The closing keynote speaker, Thomas Tunstall, Ph.D., with the University of Texas San Antonio provided details about the Eagle Ford shale’s extension into Mexico. He detailed new manufacturing, refining and processing facilities in the Eagle Ford and along the Gulf Coast.
As a special feature, decorated American war hero Salvatore "Sal" Giunta delivered Tuesday’s keynote luncheon address. The Medal of Honor recipient shared why he chose a career of service to his country and experiences from his U.S. Army career in Afghanistan and beyond.
“Hart Energy events provide an excellent platform for exchange of information,” said Barry Haest, Hart Energy Vice President of Events. “The quality of our speakers, topics and exhibits is why DUG Eagle Ford has become the largest unconventional resource conference in the North America.”
Last year, Trade Show News Network named DUG Eagle Ford one of America’s top 25 fastest growing events. The event’s exhibition floor has sold out every year since the event launched in 2010. Attendees already are planning for next year’s DUG Eagle Ford conference, set for October 25-27, 2015, also in San Antonio’s Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
