Hosts celebration of past and future

SilvermanAcampora LLP

We are incredibly proud of the firm’s achievements, and as we turn to the future we wanted to mark the occasion by thanking all of our friends, old and new, who have contributed so much to our success

SilvermanAcampora LLP, one of the region’s leading full service business commercial law firms, last night marked the occasion of its 15-year anniversary with a celebration of the firm's past and future. Founded on a preeminent bankruptcy and litigation practice in 1999, the Jericho-based firm has recently seen a substantial expansion in both its size and practice areas, uniquely enabling it to operate as a full-service law firm. With fifteen years in the business, SilvermanAcampora has remained true to its founding spirit of connecting with clients and creating innovative representation, based on the principle that "character is everything," the firm’s cornerstone.

The anniversary celebration took place at Ferrari of Long Island. The night featured remarks from founding partner Anthony Acampora and the launch of the firm’s new, expanded website. A portion of the evening was also dedicated to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association in honor of the firm’s recently passed partner, friend, and mentor, Ed Flint.

“We are incredibly proud of the firm’s achievements, and as we turn to the future we wanted to mark the occasion by thanking all of our friends, old and new, who have contributed so much to our success,” said Anthony Acampora. “We pride ourselves on our steadfast and personal involvement in the local community. That we were able to celebrate this milestone among the individuals responsible for where we are today is a wonderful feeling and a testament to the firm’s work and reputation.”

Contributing to Long Island’s advancement, SilvermanAcampora partners sit on the board of many organizations including Martin Lyons Foundation, The NYC Parks Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, and Family Service League.

Ken Silverman added, “This event was truly about looking back and moving forward. We wanted to find a way to recognize our achievements from day one to today, but also set the right tone for the next fifteen years.”

SilvermanAcampora recently introduced its Business Law Group, bringing in a highly experienced and dedicated group of lawyers committed to corporate and business matters of all kinds, including mergers & acquisitions, securities, corporate governance, executive compensation, shareholder disputes and general counsel work. The addition builds on the firm’s robust and high quality service in practice areas including real estate, litigation, employment law, corporate restructuring, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, and trusts and estates. When deciding to expand into new practice areas, it was the firm’s vision to both develop practices and hire people that live up to the quality and reputation of the firm’s existing bankruptcy practice.

“Character is everything and it’s what sets SilvermanAcampora apart from the others,” Anthony continued. “We have always exclusively brought on people who get our vision, and that has never been more apparent than tonight as I’m surrounded by our firm’s fantastic group of friends.”
