Delphian School Graduating Senior Travels To Thailand
Sheridan, Oregon (PRWEB) September 25, 2014 -- Just a few short months before commencement, Delphian graduating senior, Karla Dana made a heartfelt trek to Thailand with the intention of delivering a powerful message. While there, she assisted in delivering several seminars to students on the truth about drugs.
"The wins I've had on this project are fantastic," said Karla. "My love for Mankind has skyrocketed and my desire to help along with it."
Karla was further inspired by the people of Thailand and their astonishing willingness to help.
Karla's efforts didn't stop there. She also helped coordinate a "Say No to Drugs" Essay and Art Contest, as well as a large awards event for five-hundred people. Additionally she worked to establish a "Say No to Drugs" group at one of the Thai schools so the students could continue spreading the message after Karla and other volunteers had gone.
"The tools I gained at Delphian didn't just make this project possible," Karla said, "they made it a meaningful reality."
