United Benefit Advisors’ Partners Honored with Award for The Most Influential Women in Benefit Advising
Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) September 24, 2014 -- United Benefit Advisors (UBA), the nation's leading independent employee benefits organization, is proud to honor two of its Partners for receiving Employee Benefit Advisor (EBA) magazine's award for The Most Influential Women in Benefit Advising. Beverly E. Beattie, Founder & CEO of Selden Beattie Benefit Advisors in Coral Gables, Florida, and Debra Lambert, President of The LBL Group in Santa Ana, California, are the recipients of this prestigious award.
The Most Influential Women in Benefit Advising award recognizes extraordinary contributions in the field of benefit advising. This includes significantly increasing a broker's sales and/or market share, substantially boosting a client's benefit program through strategic consulting, fostering employee benefit innovations, advocating successfully for adviser causes and, in general, elevating the status of women in the profession.
“I would like to extend a very heartfelt congratulations to these extraordinary women on winning this award and for their achievements in the field of benefits advising, says Les McPhearson, CEO of United Benefit Advisors. “UBA Partner Firms provide superior service to their clients and these influential women are an example of how our Partners shine in the industry and the communities in which they serve. I believe it is crucial for the leaders in our industry – both male and female – to encourage young women to select benefits advising as a rewarding career choice and foster their entrepreneurial spirit.”
According to EBA, only 20 women were chosen from almost 90 online submissions to be bestowed with this inaugural award. From technological innovators to compliance experts, plan design specialists to caring mentors, the women who were selected by EBA's editors are making an impact on the field through their work – both with their clients and internally at their companies – as well as women who take that extra step to elevate other women in the profession as well, be it through mentoring or community outreach.
Honorees will be profiled on Employee Benefit Adviser's website (http://eba.benefitnews.com), in EBA's October print issue, and at an award ceremony to be held at EBA's Workplace Benefits Summit on September 29 through October 1, 2014, in Boca Raton, Florida. The event will also feature a panel discussion of the recipients talking about how they were able to overcome personal and professional challenges to achieve their goals.
