USI Insurance Services’ Cleveland President of Employee Benefits Practice, Kate Bang, Selected to the 2014 “40 under 40” Honoree Class in Crain’s Cleveland Business
Valhalla, N.Y. (PRWEB) September 25, 2014 -- USI Insurance Services (“USI”) announced that Kate Bang, employee benefits president for USI’s Cleveland office, has been selected to the 2014 “Forty under 40” Honoree Class by Crain’s Cleveland Business. Now in its 23rd year, the Forty under 40 program has honored nearly 900 individuals for their professional success and civic contributions. Bang was selected out of more than 200 nominations and is the only honoree from an insurance brokerage firm. The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at RED Space at Hot Cards in Cleveland, Ohio.
As USI Cleveland’s employee benefits president, Bang’s responsibilities include designing and implementing innovative solutions to control healthcare and prescription plan costs for client companies. Under her leadership, the Cleveland office has become one of USI’s top performing locations out of 140 offices across the United States. Earlier in April, she was named a finalist for Smart Business Magazine’s “Women Who Excel,” which recognizes women in Northern Ohio for their professional achievements. Bang has been with USI for more than 10 years and is also a two-year winner of USI’s “Five Diamond” status, which recognizes excellence in new business development, client retention and profitability.
Michael J. Sicard, USI’s chairman, president and chief executive officer, said: “Kate is one of those rare individuals who you meet and are struck by her authenticity, intelligence and drive. You immediately conclude that you want to have this person on your team as a leader and advisor. Kate is also a great role model for how to succeed in a challenging industry while maintaining a quiet grace and commitment to devoting her time and talents to improving the lives of others in her community. I congratulate her on winning this very deserving award and I am proud to have her as a member of the USI family.”
Crain’s Cleveland Business’ Forty under 40 program honors men and women under the age of 40 who have made a positive impact on Northeast Ohio’s business community. In addition to making a mark, honorees must demonstrate they are involved in the local community, whether it is through nonprofit organizations, volunteer groups or trade groups. A panel of Crain’s editors and reporters review the nominations and select the winners. The panel strives to come up with a list that represents a broad spectrum of fields, companies and organizations. Click here for a full list of 2014 honorees.
