Ian Maciulis Represents International CPCU® Designees at CPCU Society Annual Meeting
Malvern, PA (PRWEB) September 25, 2014 -- The CPCU Society International Ambassador (CSIA) Program selected Ian Maciulis, MBA, CPCU, of Paris to represent international CPCU Society members and new member candidates at the 2014 CPCU Society Annual Meeting, held September 20 through 23, in Anaheim, California.
A nuclear risk management consultant and member of SIACI Saint Honoré since 2006, Maciulis has developed innovative coverages for various nuclear construction, liability and decommissioning risks. He has presented at numerous seminars and speaking engagements regarding international civil nuclear liability conventions and nuclear risk management.
“It is truly an honor to have been selected as the CPCU Society’s 2014 International Ambassador,” says Maciulis, who earned the CPCU® designation in 2012. “Considering the talent and expertise of CPCUs in the international community, I am both humbled and excited to have been chosen among the other deserving candidates who applied.”
In response to the growing number of international Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designees and candidates, the CPCU Society has expanded its presence outside of the United States. International CPCUs and CPCU candidates not based in the U.S. face different challenges from those who are, including finding study support and taking exams in English, which may be a second language for them. The CPCU Society established the CSIA Program to recognize non-U.S.-based CPCUs for their efforts in promoting the CPCU designation globally and to provide financial support for them to attend the CPCU Society Annual Meeting.
