Have a Halloween Half Term with Globehunters
(PRWEB UK) 25 September 2014 -- Autumn half term means Halloween and there are few places that pull out all the stops as much as Orlando. Globehunters will be offering money saving deals on half term holidays to Orlando during the height of the Halloween celebrations.
Orlando’s famous theme park attractions host an array of ghoulish goings on during October in the lead up to the big night. Once again, Walt Disney World and Universal Studios will be wowing the crowds in the lead up to Halloween on October 31st.
Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World Orlando is hosting Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party – a combination of trick or treating and colourful Halloween parades that are great for kids. Beginning on 1st September and running until the big night, Not So Scary Halloween Party sees some of the baddies from famous Disney films perform in front of a decorated Cinderella castle before meeting and greeting the crowd.
Of course, a Disney World event wouldn’t be complete without a parade, and Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade includes a variety of Disney characters in fancy dress. Main Street USA, which leads up to the iconic Magic Kingdom castle, will host a range of interactive spectacles such as a barber shop of dead cowboys and plenty of other unmissable, ghoulish photo opportunities.
Universal Studios
Universal Studios crank up the scare factor with some special events that definitely aren’t a family affair. The Orlando studios’ award-winning Halloween Horror Nights feature terrifying haunted houses based on well known horror films. Earlier this week, Hollywood actress Tara Reid was at the grand opening of this year’s event which runs until early November.
One of 2014’s main attractions is Dracula Untold – a house themed with all sorts of Transylvanian terrors. The Alien v Predator themed house is also sure to be a firm favourite with adult horror fans.
One of this year’s retro attractions is a haunted maze based on 1980s film American Werewolf. The maze replicates various scenes from the UK based film including the London underground system and the Yorkshire Moors.
