Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has introduced Electric 12-string and Bass Guitar Kits. They are the latest members in a family of musical instrument kits that includes six-string acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, and violin kits. These all-inclusive kits are designed for easy assembly, allowing the builder to focus efforts on creating a custom finish for the guitar. Once the wooden components are sanded, a custom finish of paint or stain can be applied. Many experienced guitar builders recommend Waterlox Original Sealer (sold separately) for the clear coat on top of the paint or stain to avoid the plastic look of polyurethane sealers. Once completed, the guitars produce a sound quality which rivals that of many well-known guitar brands.

"These Electric Guitar Kits greatly simplify the guitar building process, and the end result is a quality
guitar that is both attractive and mechanically sound," says Steve Krohmer, Rockler's Vice President
of Product Marketing. "Every piece required to build a functioning electric guitar is included, and it all
comes together with simple sanding, finishing, and assembly."

The Electric 12-string and Bass Guitar Kits contain the premium components necessary to create a
high-quality electric guitar, including a solid wood body (Paulownia for the 12-string and Basswood
for the Bass), bolt-on maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, pickups and controls, plus all of the
necessary chrome hardware for the bridge, tuning pegs, even strings and a 1/4" guitar plug to get the
guitar up and running.

The Electric 12-string Guitar Kit (55880) and Electric Bass Guitar Kit (57403) retail for $134.99 each.
Both can be purchased at Rockler Woodworking and Hardware stores nationwide, Rockler independent
