Popular Online Math Program Mathseeds Releases Brand New Content
(PRWEB) September 29, 2014 -- Mathseeds, the highly interactive online math program designed for children aged 3 to 6, has been expanded to include 5 new math lessons covering digital time, addition, measurement and skip counting.
The publishing team behind the hugely popular online reading program, Reading Eggs, have released ‘Map 18’, a virtual environment set in China, where children travel through each math lesson collecting new pets rewards to add to their collection.
The program now features 90 highly interactive and colorful lessons, starting from the very beginning of a child’s math journey – learning to recognize the number 1.
The new lessons 86 to 88 build upon math concepts already covered in the earlier maps and lessons, and teach children to recognize, model, read, write and order numbers to 100, how to tell time to the half-hour, and how to solve addition problems using partitioning and rearranging parts.
Lessons 89 explore measuring and comparing using uniform and informal units, and Lesson 90 covers skip counting by twos, fives and tens, starting from zero.
Each Mathseeds lesson contains 9 activities that children complete at their own pace, with multiple rewards to keep children motivated to continue progressing through the program. At the end of each map (5 lessons), children complete a multiple-choice quiz, and if they pass, they are awarded with a printable certificate. Parents can access a dashboard to track their child’s progress and download reports.
