Fall Activities Kick Off With An Oktoberfest Celebration!

Oktoberfest Celebration – September 29 – October 12, 2014
Brix & Ale, the hotels featured restaurant will kick off this fall’s activities with a two weeklong celebration during Oktoberfest. With Brix & Ale’s extensive beer list and relaxed atmosphere, guests will enjoy one of the world most festive fall celebrations. Executive Chef Bobbie has prepared a special menu to complement the occasion and will enliven Oktoberfest through her culinary skills while guests enjoy the festive atmosphere created by the Brix & Ale team.

Fall Harvest Wine Dinner featuring J Lohr Winery – October 10, 2014
The Brix & Ale team and J. Lohr Winery have partnered to present a pairing of complementing tastes, delights and fall treats. Executive Chef Bobbie will present her specialty fall line-up paired with handpicked J. Lohr varietals, starting with a Curry Pumpkin Soup served in a pumpkin bowl, complimented by a glass of J. Lohr Arroyo Seco Chardonnay. Roasted Duck Confit and Braised Short Ribs will be the menus main courses, each paired with a Syrah and Merlot respectively. Finishing the night with dessert, guests will enjoy a Warm Fig and Lavender Goat Cheese Galette while sipping a J. Lohr Monterey County White Riesling. Enjoy the tastes of fall and relax in good company!

Family Pumpkin Carving Class – October 25, 2014
With Halloween just around the corner, Executive Chef Bobbie and her team are putting together a fun and educational class for families to enjoy. There will be pumpkin carving demonstrations, Halloween treats and more. The class includes a pumpkin to decorate during the demonstration, goodie bag including a pumpkin carving kit and of course pointers from Chef Bobbie.
